Performance Marketing Executive (Paid Social & PPC)

Reports to: Senior Performance Marketing Lead

Location: Manchester (Hybrid)

Job Purpose

The Performance Marketing Executive supports the delivery and optimisation of Ripe's paid marketing activity, with a primary focus on Paid Social and exposure to PPC and other digital acquisition channels.

This is a hands-on role responsible for campaign execution, optimisation, reporting and testing. Working closely with the Senior Performance Marketing Lead, the role offers a clear path towards broader channel ownership and strategic responsibility.

Principal Accountabilities

Paid Social

  • Execute, monitor and optimise Paid Social campaigns across Meta, YouTube and other relevant platforms.

  • Support activity across Display and emerging acquisition channels.

  • Brief creative requirements to the Design team and ensure assets align with campaign objectives.

  • Utilise AI-powered tools where appropriate to support creative development and campaign delivery.

  • Identify opportunities to improve campaign efficiency, lead quality and commercial performance.

PPC Support

  • Support campaign delivery across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads

  • Monitor campaign performance, identifying issues and optimisation opportunities.

  • Assist with the setup and launch of new campaigns and products.

  • Support audience, keyword, ad copy and creative testing.

Reporting & Insight

  • Produce weekly and monthly performance reports, highlighting key trends and recommendations.

  • Maintain accurate tracking and tagging through GA4 and Google Tag Manager.

  • Support forecasting and reforecasting through performance analysis and reporting.

  • Translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders.

Testing & Optimisation

  • Support a structured test-and-learn programme across audiences, creative, messaging and landing pages.

  • Document test results and share learnings.

  • Monitor competitor activity and industry developments.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with SEO, Web Optimisation, Design and Creative teams.

  • Support landing page optimisation through performance insights and recommendations.

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement across Marketing.

FCA Consumer Duty Responsibilities

  • Ensure marketing activity is clear, accurate and not misleading.

  • Escalate potential customer outcome, pricing or value concerns.

  • Support the creation of content that improves customer understanding.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience managing and optimising Paid Social campaigns.

  • Experience supporting PPC campaigns, ideally across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.

  • Experience using GA4 or similar analytics platforms.

  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Proactive, curious and eager to learn.

Desirable

  • Experience with Display, YouTube or other acquisition channels.

  • Experience in e-commerce, financial services or another regulated sector.

  • Familiarity with Google Tag Manager and attribution concepts.

  • Exposure to CRO or landing page optimisation.

Technical Knowledge

  • Meta Ads Manager.

  • Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.

  • Google Analytics 4.

  • Google Tag Manager (desirable).

  • Excel.

  • Looker Studio or Power BI (desirable).

Professional Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent professional experience in Marketing, Business or a related field.

Desirable

  • Google Ads Certification.

  • Google Analytics Certification.

  • Meta Blueprint Certification.
