Why should I consider photography insurance?

Many photographers invest thousands of pounds in cameras, lenses and accessories, yet much of this equipment is used only on certain shoots or kept stored between jobs. During that downtime, your kit could be at risk of theft, loss or accidental damage – particularly when travelling, working on location, or storing equipment away from home.

Beyond equipment risks, photography also brings potential liability concerns. Accidental damage to a venue, injury to a member of the public, or disputes following a shoot could result in costly claims if you’re not adequately insured.

Photography insurance can help provide reassurance, whether you’re working on a paid assignment, photographing an event, or heading out on a personal shoot. With specialist photographer insurance in place, you can focus on capturing the perfect image.

Videographer Insurance

Photographers aren’t the only creatives who need the right protection. If you also shoot video, specialist videographer insurance ensures your cameras, lighting, audio kit and accessories are just as well covered as your photography equipment.

Whether you’re filming events, producing commercial content or working on personal projects, videography insurance can safeguard your gear against accidental damage or theft and cover you for third‑party claims arising during a shoot. It’s flexible, easy to tailor, and designed to give you confidence behind the camera, whatever you’re creating.
