Does my travel insurance cover my valuables?

Standard travel insurance policies may cover your valuables, but often have a low per-item cap of around £500. Specialist valuables insurance through Ripe has a maximum single-item cap of £20k. To be eligible to make a claim while travelling, your valuables must be worn by you or your immediate family, carried under close personal custody or control, or deposited in a bank or locked safe.

Can I insure more than one high-value item on my policy?

Yes. You can insure multiple items, such as a watch or jewellery collection, provided that each individual item has a minimum value of £1k, no single item exceeds £20k, and the total combined value does not exceed £30k.

How can I make a claim on my valuables insurance?
