Dermaplanning Insurance FAQs
  • There are several layers of dermaplaning insurance you may want to consider. However, the cover you choose ultimately depends on what specific things you wish to cover your business against.

The three main types of dermaplaning insurance are:

    • Public Liability – this protects you from potential third-party claims for personal injury, issues arising from treatment, and property damage

    • Employers’ Liability – this is a legal requirement if you employ others as part of your business. This will cover you and your business if an employee makes a claim against you

    • Equipment Cover – this can cover you for theft, loss, or accidental damage to your business equipment

    • You may also wish to consider adding Money Cover as an extra layer of protection in case money belonging to your business is stolen from your premises or in transit. This can be particularly useful if you work mobile and travel to carry out dermaplaning treatment, or if you deal mainly with cash.

Buildings Cover is another additional layer of protection you may also wish to consider, particularly if you own the salon where you carry out treatment.

  • The cost of dermaplaning insurance varies depending on multiple factors, such as:

    • the type and level of cover you choose

    • the amount of experience you have with dermaplaning

    • where your business is based

Ripe keeps insurance simple, which means you’ll never pay for cover you don’t need. Instead, you can choose your policy based solely on what you do need.
