Equipment insurance

Why do I need golf equipment insurance?

As a golfer, you’ve no doubt spent a lot of time, care and money making sure you have the clubs and accessories to suit your game.

Unfortunately, millions of pounds of golf clubs are stolen every year in the UK alone. In addition, it's also becoming increasingly common for golf clubs to be damaged or lost when playing on the golf course or travelling to a warmer climate for a golfing holiday.

Whether it’s your clubs, bag, GPS device, ball retriever or clothing – if your equipment is lost, damaged or stolen, you could be unable to play for a period of time or need to fork out a lot of money on new equipment. That’s why we provide specialist golf equipment insurance – to ensure you receive compensation in situations like this, helping you get back on the course as quickly as possible.

But why do I need it when I have household insurance?

Many household insurance policies won’t cover equipment such as golf clubs and accessories away from the home, which is pretty essential for golfers. So, if your golf clubs are stolen, lost, or damaged on your way to the course or even at the course, you won’t be covered.

What does golf equipment insurance cover?

Our golf equipment insurance covers your clubs, bags and accessories when you’re playing golf or travelling to or from the golfing venue. It protects against loss, theft and damage so if your clubs or any other essentials go missing or break, you won’t be left out of pocket or away from the game for too long.

Our golf insurance has four levels of cover, so you can tailor your policy based on your equipment value and the countries where you want to be covered. That way, you only pay for the cover you need.

  • Our Bronze policy covers golf equipment up to the value of £1,250
  • Our Silver policy covers golf equipment up to the value of £1,750
  • Our Gold policy covers golf equipment up to the value of £2,500
  • Our Platinum policy covers golf equipment up to the value of £5,000
  • We understand that when mishaps end up damaging any new equipment it can be incredibly frustrating. That’s why all our policies come with a ‘New-for-Old’ cover, which means we’ll replace your clubs on a ‘New-for-Old’ basis if they were purchased new and are up to three years old, subject to satisfactory proof of ownership.

Items which are older than three years or not purchased new will be replaced on the indemnity value of that equipment at the time of loss or damage.
