Social club insurance FAQs
  • Do social clubs need insurance?
    • While it’s not a legal requirement for social clubs to have insurance, you may want to consider it to help provide financial protection should the worst happen. It’s always a good idea to check with your local authority or with any venues you hire for events, to make sure that you meet the insurance requirements they may have. If you employ any staff as part of running your social club, you’ll also need Employers’ Liability insurance as a minimum.

Do I need insurance to run a kids' club?
    • If you run a social club for children or a youth club, you are not legally required to have insurance unless you employ staff (in that case, Employers’ Liability insurance would be required). However, you may still want to consider getting social club insurance to help financially protect yourself, your building, and its contents in the event of an accident.
