What does Specialist Shooting Insurance cover?
- Public Liability cover if you cause injury or property damage
Our Public Liability insurance provides up to £10 million of cover if you cause an injury to someone else or damage someone’s property. We provide you with your own free personalised Public Liability confirmation card, so you have proof of insurance on hand.
- Shooting Equipment cover
We understand that guns can be expensive and unlike our competitors, we acknowledge the costly prices of the shooting accessories you need too. Despite your utmost care, guns are easily cracked, telescopic sights damaged and theft is always a possibility. Without our Specialist Shooting insurance you may have to fork out potentially large sums of money for repairs and replacements.
That’s why we provide up to £50,000 cover for theft and accidental damage of shooting equipment and up to £12,000 for a single item. We also replace your equipment on a New-for-Old basis if the item is less than three years old, providing it was bought new and you have proof of ownership. Shooting equipment that is over three years old will be replaced on the market value at the time of damage or loss. What’s more, we cover any equipment hire up to £200 so the theft, damage or loss of equipment doesn’t get in the way of your next shoot.
- Personal Accident cover if you require treatment
Uneven shooting ground, possible noise damage or kick back from a gun are all situations where accidents can happen. So, it’s vital you protect yourself.
Personal Accident cover for up to £50,000 can help cover the costs if something were to happen to you on a shoot, such as death, loss of limbs, loss of hearing, loss of sight, permanent total disablement or you require dental treatment.
- Additional cover
Excess Waiver - We offer an Excess Waiver which means you won’t need to pay any excess charges should you make a claim.
Legal protection - We’re here to help you, even in the stickiest of situations. Perhaps you are refused the renewal of your firearm certificate, it has been revoked, or new conditions have been imposed, we know it can be a daunting and challenging experience. That’s why we provide legal advice of up to £100,000, to help you continue to participate in the sport you love.
Why should you not rely on your household insurance?
Household insurers more than likely won’t cover your shooting equipment for incidents that occur outside your home, and sometimes will refuse to cover firearms at all. Choosing specialist insurance gives you cover both inside and outside of your home, so you can avoid being bombarded with additional costs of adding your shooting equipment onto your household insurance. Additionally, we know all of our customers should be treated like individuals who have different preferences and needs, which is why we let you tailor your policy so you only pay for what you need.
