Our flexible policies let you insure your GoPro and accessories on one simple policy and it could be covered for all of this:
Worldwide cover
Your adventures could take you anywhere and our insurance will be there with you to protect your gear for up to 60 days.
Accidental damage
Whether your gear is brand new or second hand, our insurance includes cover for accidental damage.
Theft
Protect your gear both in or out of the home.
Public Liability
There to protect you in case you were to injure someone or cause damage to third party property.
What does our GoPro insurance cover?
What's covered
With our unpackaged cover you have the option to insure your equipment, insure yourself for Public Liability or combine both on one policy.
- Camera and photography equipment
We cover theft and accidental damage up to £60,000 on a New for Old basis (for equipment up to 3 years old). You can also opt to include theft and accidental damage to equipment outside of the insured location (i.e your home or studio) up to £30,000. Our equipment cover includes theft and accidental damage to cameras, lenses, stands and tripods, cases, video and audio equipment and accessories.
- Public Liability
Public Liability insurance protects you and your business against claims arising from injuries to customers or members of the public, or for damage to third party property.
What's optional
- Mobile phones and tablets
If your mobile phones and tablets are used in conjunction with your photography equipment, you can include this cover within your policy, to provide protection against theft and accidental damage.
- Cover outside of the UK
If you work outside of the UK in any capacity, it’s definitely worth considering adding the option to provide you with cover when working abroad. You can choose from either EU only or Worldwide cover.
- Theft from a vehicle
If you take your equipment with you on the road, you might want to think about including extra cover for the occasions when your camera and gear are left unattended in your vehicle. You can add this extra cover, choosing the amount required up to a maximum of £20,000.
What's not covered
- Loss
We don't cover against loss of photography equipment.
- Theft if security requirements haven't been met
We can't insure against theft from the Insured Location unless your photography equipment is kept inside, the security requirements have been met and there is clear evidence of forcible and violent entry or exit
- Theft from an unlocked vehicle
We cannot cover theft from a vehicle unless the equipment is out of sight in a locked luggage compartment with the vehicle securely locked and all security devices in operation.
- Damage to equipment not used within manufacturers guidelines
- Theft or damage of photography equipment kept in a wooden shed or any wooden building

- Equipment hire
You'll be covered for the cost of hiring replacement photography equipment, should your own be damaged. The equipment hired must be of a comparable type to that which was stolen or damaged.
- Professional Indemnity
Claims including legal costs and expenses up to the amount you selected when you took out the policy. This includes negligent acts, errors or omissions whilst working as a photographer.
- Accidental damage and theft to portfolio
We will provide cover for the value of materials and labour required for reproducing, re-laminating and re-printing your photography portfolio.
- Hired-in equipment
This provides cover for any photography equipment you hire-in to replace any of your own equipment which is unusable, or damaged.
- Associates cover
Extend any cover that you choose to those working with you, helping you or volunteering for you. For example, if you take out equipment cover, which covers theft and accidental damage, this cover will extend to anyone working with you.
- Legal expenses
Legal expenses insurance provides cover to protect you against potential legal issues that you might become involved in through your photography business. The cover includes; contract disputes, debt recovery, tax enquiries, criminal prosecution defence, jury service, social media defamation and access to a legal and tax helpline.
What's not covered
- Loss
We don't cover against loss of photography equipment.
- Theft if security requirements haven't been met
We can't insure against theft from the Insured Location unless your photography equipment is kept inside, the security requirements have been met and there is clear evidence of forcible and violent entry or exit
- Theft from an unlocked vehicle
We cannot cover theft from a vehicle unless the equipment is out of sight in a locked luggage compartment with the vehicle securely locked and all security devices in operation.
- Damage to equipment not used within manufacturers guidelines
- Hired-in equipment without appropriate arrangement
The photography equipment hired-in must be under a hiring agreement between you and a recognised photography equipment hiring or leasing company.
- Theft or damage of photography equipment kept in a wooden shed or any wooden building
- Personal injury
- Employment tribunals
Costs in respect of Employment Tribunals and any legal costs, or fees over £25,000 in total are not included.
