If you cannot find your occupation or profession in the search bar, you could look through the A-Z list. If you still cannot find a good match, we might still be able to help so please call us on 0800 668 1552.
How much Public Liability insurance do I need?
If your business has any employees, Employer’s Liability insurance is a legal requirement. As an employer, you are responsible for the health and safety of your employees and you can be fined if you are found not to have cover in place. The Employers’ Liability (Compulsory Insurance) Act 1969 protects employees against the risk of injury at work by ensuring that companies that employ people have the correct insurance.
I'm a builder and I also do other work, do I need to declare this?
It really depends on what you do for a living and if you work with or for anyone that stipulates a minimum level of cover. For example, if you are contracting, some companies might ask you show that you have at least £5 million in cover. It's best to check this out with the companies you work with before taking out a policy. You can always increase your cover at a later date by contacting us.
I have more than 9 employees, can you cover me?
Builders only need to let us know if the additional work/trade makes up over 15% of their work. If you are unsure about this, please give us a call on 0344 274 3262 and we'll be able to advise you further.
Can I add extra cover to my policy later?
