Job scope:
The primary purpose of the Digital Executive role is to support the Head of Digital to continuously improve the customer journey and conversion rates of all Ripe websites and ensure the success of digital marketing activity, in particular affiliate marketing. The Digital Executive will also help the Head of Digital to manage and prioritise Front End development work to ensure that all website updates are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Use the various web analytics software available to identify website performance issues and highlight to Head of Digital
- Use web analytics to understand user behaviour and provide recommendations to improve the customer journey and user experience
- Help devise, setup, monitor and report on A/B split tests across all Ripe websites
- Help to deliver the CRO schedule of optimisation to deliver the target CR% for all websites
- Help to deliver the user testing programme throughout the year and then deliver the required updates to all websites
- Help to manage monthly regression testing across all websites ensuring failed tests are resolved promptly
- Help co-ordinate the Front-End Development schedule to ensure website changes are delivered to the highest standards and to the agreed deadlines
- Test website changes across a number of browsers and devices and highlight any issues following testing process. Repeat process until changes are correct and can be released onto the live websites
- Make required website content changes using content management systems
- Help manage the affiliate marketing activity via Affiliate Window, develop new relationships and opportunities and maintain relationships with top aggregators to drive sales volumes
- Support Head of Digital to deliver new product websites
- Keep up to date with digital developments and introduce if benefit Ripe

- To optimise the customer journey of all websites across desktop, tablet and mobile

- To ensure other departments are aware of digital marketing campaigns and website updates and briefed on any impacts they may have
Experience Requirements
Essential:
- Experience in an e-commerce or similar digital marketing role
- Experience in CRO – analysing website performance data, running A/B split tests and delivering conversion rate improvements
- Experience with Google Analytics to analyse and report on website performance
- Experience working with website developers to implement website improvements
- Affiliate marketing experience
- An analytical mind, able to interpret and translate data into actionable insight, across all aspects of Digital
- Excellent command of English language – grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Able to work on own initiative and develop own reports and briefs
- Able to work well with other departments to ensure success of activity
- Able to juggle a wide range of projects and used to prioritising a large workload
- Strong communication skills
Desirable:
- Understanding of basic HTML
- Experience of Tag Management using Google Tag Manager
- Experience of working with Affiliate window
- Experience of working in an e-commerce role in financial services
- Good understanding of the marketing challenges faced by medium sized e-commerce companies
Technology Requirements:
Essential
- Experience of working with various Office products e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel to analyse and interpret data
- Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics
- Experience of working with website content management systems e.g. WordPress or Umbraco
- Experience of test website on a variety of different devices and browsers and an understanding of the differences between each
Desirable
- Experience of working with website analytics tools including Google Data Studio, Hotjar, VWO, Formisimo, Optimizely etc
Education:
Essential
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above including Maths and English
- 3 A levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above
Desirable
- A degree in an appropriate discipline
